Flawless Ladies Mile Win For Sandown Stud

Sandown Stud celebrated a notable feature race win on Saturday when the Sandown bred So Flawless captured the Listed WSB Sign Up Now Ladies Mile (1600m) at Kenilworth.

Trained by Andre Nel, four-year-old So Flawless was given a fine ride by Corne Orffer, with Orffer bringing his mount with an explosive late burst which saw the filly get up close home and score by a length and a quarter.

She now looks an extremely attractive broodmare prospect indeed!

The Ladies Mile was also a triumph for former Horse Of The Year Legislate, whose daughters So Flawless and Veronica Mars finished first and second respectively.

Leased to Sabine Plattner for her racing career, So Flawless has now won four times, with the filly’s previous efforts also including a third place finish in the 2021 Listed Breeders Guineas.

So Flawless is out of the Judpot mare Natural Beauty -a placed half-sister to four stakes winners including the graded stakes winners Priceless Jewel and Royal Badge. Her granddam is Sandown Stud’s wonderful producer So Royal.
