GREYVILLE 1-2 FOR SANDOWN STUD!
Sandown Stud pulled off a notable feat, when the Sandown bred pair of The Appeal and Manhattan Cafe finished first and second in the fifth race at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Thursday night.
Trained by Alyson Wright, six-year-old The Appeal powered home to down his three-year-younger rival Manhattan Cafe by a length when victorious in Thursday’s Racing Distribution MR 74 Handicap (1900m).
Manhattan Cafe, in turn, finished two and a half lengths clear of the third place finisher Walton Hall on Thursday.
The Appeal was winning the third race of his career, with the gelding having now won two of his last three starts.
One of two winners on the Greyville card for his sire Master Of My Fate, The Appeal is out of the Victory Moon mare Painted House. A half-sister to former G1 Vodacom Durban July winner Dunford, Painted House has produced six winners including seven time winner Ford Country.
