Irish Champion Firing On All Cylinders

The Sandown Stud based Pathfork continues to impress as a great value for money stallion.
The Champion son of the now pensioned Distorted Humor is currently 12th on South Africa’s General Sires List for 2021-2022, with Pathfork runners having already amassed more than R1.449 million this season.
At the time of writing, Pathfork sits above the likes of Ideal World, Dynasty, Trippi and Visionaire on the General Sires List. He is by far and away the highest rated stallion of his price bracket, with Pathfork’s current results underlining what great value he represents.
He also has a very impressive winners to runners ratio – with Pathfork’s percentage of winners to runners (18 of his 58 runners this season have won at least once) placing him above such star stallions as Silvano, Gimmethegreenlight, Var, Vercingetorix, What A Winter and Querari.
Winner of the G1 National Stakes, like outstanding stallions Roberto, Danehill Dancer, Dubawi, and El Prado, Pathfork also hails from a female line which continues to impress.
A half-brother to Claiborne’s G1 Preakness Stakes winning sire War Of Will, Pathfork hails from the same female line as this year’s very smart US three-year-old First Captain (G3 Dwyer Stakes), last year’s G1 CCA Oaks winner Paris Lights, and recent group winner Ecrivain, as well as such notable stallions as Redoute’s Choice, El Gran Senor and Try My Best.
Standing at a fee of just R5 000, the sire of G1 winners Mighty High and Pearl Of Asia looks a hugely appealing prospect for discerning breeders!
