Kenilworth Joy For Pathfork

The Sandown Stud-based Pathfork has made a cracking start to the 2021-2022 South African season and the regally bred son of Distorted Humor came up with another good winner at Kenilworth on Saturday.

Pathfork’s son Path Of Choice caught the eye on Saturday when that gelded five-year-old stormed home to land the www.caperacing.co.za MR80 Handicap (1400) in impressive fashion.

Under the inform Grant Van Niekerk, Path Of Choice romped home to score by a length and a quarter for trainer Vaughan Marshall and owner John Kinsley.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Path Of Choice has now won four times for his connections.

The gelding, a half-brother to dual G1 winner Linebacker, is out of Thin Red Line -a daughter of Pathfork’s legendary relative Redoute’s Choice.

Sire of nearly 30 black-type horses, including brilliant recent G2 Allied-Steelrode Onamission Mile hero Bingwa, Pathfork currently ranks above the likes of Var, Trippi and Dynasty on South Africa’s General Sires List by earnings.
