Sandown Stud’s inform sire Pathfork continues to supply winners all over South Africa, and the former Irish champion was at it again this weekend.
Pathfork came up with a smart looking debut winner in the form of the Clinton Binda trained Esquevelle.
The latter defied his starting price of 200-3 when capturing the second race at Turffontein on Saturday.

Under apprentice Joshwin Solomons, Esquevelle kept finding in the closing stages of Saturday’s All To Come Maiden Plate (1160m) to win a shade cosily by a long neck.
Bred by James Armitage, the gelded three-year-old is out of the three time winning Kahal mare Evening Breeze.
His sire Pathfork, Ireland’s Champion 2YO Colt of 2010, recently made headlines when his son Bingwa captured the recent G2 Allied Steelrode-Onamission Mile, while taking his earnings to over R800 000.
Also sire of G1 winners Mighty High and Pearl Of Asia, the Distorted Humor sired Pathfork has six lots on the upcoming November Two Year Old Sale.
