Racing Association Stakes Success For Pathfork

Sandown Stud’s well performed stallion Pathfork continues to churn out the winners, and the champion son of Distorted Humor enjoyed another good payday at Turffontein on Tuesday when his son Marchingontogether won the Listed Racing Association Stakes (3200m).

Now in the care of St John Gray, six-year-old Marchingontogether hit the front in Tuesday’s marathon contest 400m from home.

Under Gavin Lerena, the Pathfork gelding kept on galloping, and stayed on resolutely to land the R150 000 feature by three-parts of a length.

Marchingontogether had finished third in the Listed Java Handicap last time out and is clearly relishing racing on the Highveld!

Out of the Montjeu mare Souen, Marchingontogether has now won eight of his 37 starts, including the G3 Track And Ball Derby and G3 Lonsdale Stirrup Cup in 2020, for earnings of of nearly R1 million.

His G1 boylesports.com Vincent O’Brien National Stakes winning sire Pathfork is having another good season, with Marchingontogether and G2 Allied Steelrode-Onamissionmile hero Bingwa among his flagbearers.

At the time of writing, progeny of Pathfork had earned in excess of R4.741 million for the 2021-2022 season.
